Best known for her iconic role as the double-bun wearing princess in Star Wars, Carrie Fisher has died Tuesday following a massive heart attack.  "It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning," a representative for Lourd told FoxNews.com. "She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly".

She was SO much more than the princess in Star Wars. She was an activist, script doctor, novelist, and playwright!

She was in multiple movies during the 80s, and was married or engaged to famous singers and actors, suffered from bipolar disorder and drug addiction and eventually became a mental health advocate. Her role in the industry resulted in her never finishing high school.

The daughter of singer Eddie Fisher and actress Debbie Reynolds, she appeared, at the age of 15 in the Broadway show “Irene".  She was in the movie “Shampoo,”and later starred in Star Wars in 1977. Fisher revealed in her 2016 autobiography that she had an affair with “Star Wars” co-star Harrison Ford for three months in 1976. R.I.P.!
