Comic Con International aka San Diego Comic Con aka SDCC is one of the biggest events in the WORLD and right here every July in San Diego.  While we have a large Convention Center the growth of geek and pop culture has exploded the last 10 years and even the Gaslamp Quarter itself cannot contain all the fun off site activations surrounding SDCC.  Check out this list of events that don't require a badge for this year's SDCC when it arrives next week.

NBC 

NBC is returning to San Diego Comic Con this year and bringing Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place and more with fun pop up experiences.  

The Batman Experience at Comic-Con Museum (Balboa Park)

What:  Pop-up exhibit at the new Comic-Con Museum in Balboa Park featuring immersive exhibits surrounding the cultural icon and celebrating 80 years of Batman
Location:  Comic-Con Museum

Step Into "The Twilight Zone" Experience

What:  Immersive Twilight Zone experience that is not only out of sight, but of mind
Location:  Interactive Zone at Petco Park


  

Borderlands Museum of Mayhem, presented by Nerdist!

What:  Exhibits of Mayhem: Museum guests will be treated to an inside look at character, weapon, and level design through concept art created by the artists at Gearbox Software. Wonder if we tried fitting a third finger gun into the box art? Wonder no more! These concepts will blow your mind all over your face!

Amazon Prime Video Experience

What:  In July, the company will rent 60,000 square feet outside San Diego Comic-Con to promote three of its shows: "The Expanse," "Carnival Row" and "The Boys." On top of "participatory theater, stage performance and tech" exhibits during the day, the space will also host screenings and parties.

Adult Swim on the Green

What:  Meet & Greets, Fan events, activities and more with Adult Swim shows and personalities like Rick & Morty

Impractical Jokers: Jokers Island

What:  Free tropical party with games, food, an autograph signing and more!  Join TruTV and the Impractical Jokers for Jokers Island

Fox's Animation Domination Fan Fair (New Children's Museum)

What:  Fox is bringing their Animation Domination Fan Fair to the New Children's Museum (326 W Harbor) with amusement park rides and games for series The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, and Bless the Harts! plus more photo ops, limited editing swag and more

Ripley's Believe It Or Not Car Lot

Chicano-Con (Border X Brewing)

What:  Border X Brewing presents Chicano-Con! A comics and music event that spotlights the work of Latino artists while bringing a little Comic-Con to the Barrio.

San Diego Blood Bank - Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive

Zombie Walk (Final year!)

HBO's Watchmen

What:  HBO takes you into the world of Watchmen with a unique augmented reality experience

Pennyworth 

What:  No longer Batman's Butler/Man Servant, Pennyworth is the new series exploring the origins of Alfred Pennyworth.  Visitors will be able to check out a high-society lounge straight out of 1960's London
