How Does George Strait Celebrate 25 Years of Pure Country?

Hard to believe the movie Pure Country starring George Strait came out 25 years ago. Not many people know George didn't want to be in the movies but Elvis's manager, Colonel Tom Parker talked him into it. Telling George that movies helped Elvis's career.

Well on September 15th, exactly 25 years after the movies release, George Strait will be releasing the movie soundtrack that went on to go six times platinum and brought us songs like "I Cross My Heart" and "Heartland" on vinyl.

To celebrate, he'll perform hits from the album on his two-night run at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on September 1st and 2nd.

In case you were wondering, George is set to play will his final shows of the year on December 8th and 9th.
