Best Places To Celebrate Halloween? San Diego Makes The Cut!

October 25, 2017

There's a lot to love about Halloween...but there's also a lot to buy!

Candies, costumes, haunted houses and parties, maybe a trip to the movies.  It can all add up.

The typical American household will spend about $86.13 on Halloween this year - including candy, decorations and costumes.  Depending on what city you're in, that can be a little less or a little more.

So just where is the best place to celebrate Halloween?  Well, the folks at WalletHub are real good at this kind of thing.  They compared the 100 largest U.S. cities based on 18 key metrics, ranging from costume stores per capita to average price per Halloween party ticket to share of potential trick-or-treat stops.

Here's their Top 10 list - and San Diego makes the grade as we come in at #9 this year!
