Many actors today dedicate their time and efforts to meeting, encouraging and entertaining our troops.  But there's one who seems to be at the forefront of those efforts -- Oscar-winning actor, Gary Sinise.

We remember him most from his role as Lt. Dan in 1994's "Forrest Gump."  He not only meets and shows his personal appreciation for our military members, but his foundation helps military families, vets and first-responders and his 'Lt. Dan Band' has played countless shows for our military.

To show their appreciation for the time and money Sinise has put into serving the U.S. military, many of his fellow celebrities (and a few of our troops) recently created a special video to thank him for his efforts.

Ron Howard, Tim Allen, former Secretary of State, Colin Powell, Jay Leno and Tom Hanks are among those who appear in the video, that was created by retired general Robin Rand, the CEO of the Gary Sinise Foundation.

Take a look below.  It could be a good idea to have a tissue handy.
