September 11: 15 Years Of Remembrance

September 11, 2016
Freedom Tower, New York City

On Sunday, the nation marks the 15th anniversary of the September 11th terror attacks with tributes and remembrances.

Nowhere else in the country is the effect of 9-11 felt more than at what we call 'ground zero' - the location of the World Trade Center twin towers in lower Manhattan - now, the location of the National 9-11 Museum and Memorial.

Each year on the anniversary of the attacks, the Tribute In Light can be seen in New York City - twin beams of light reaching 4 miles into the sky to commemorate those lost, not only in New York, but at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and in Pennsylvania, where United flight 93 crashed.

On Sunday, September 11, the 9-11 Memorial will livestream the 15th commemoration ceremonies in New York.
